Focus Group Findings

Ohio is known for its diversity. So before ADEPP could craft a plan to improve screening and diagnostic services for children with autism and other developmental delays, it was essential to meet with stakeholders across the state.

ADEPP team members held 28 focus groups in five different counties. We met with parents, medical professionals, direct service providers, early care providers, and administrators of all those folks. In all, we engaged more than 400 people and met more than 300 in person.

Once this data was gathered, team leaders coupled the local information with national and state research to create our Five Steps For Success.
