Ohio is known for its wide diversity. So before ADEPP could craft a plan to improve screening and diagnostic services for children with autism and other developmental delays, it was essential important to meet with stakeholders across the state.
ADEPP team members held 28 focus groups in five different counties. We met with parents, medical professionals, direct service providers, early care providers, and administrators of all those folks. In all, we gathered a database of more than 400 interested participants, meeting with nearly 300 of those folks in person. Click here for the focus group findings.
Once this data was gathered, team leaders coupled the local information with national and state research on autism and autism care. The end result is our Five Steps For Success.
